Sarah's Hut is in a beautiful location with mountain views out of every window. The kitchen was fully functional with a stove top, microwave/oven combo, blender, toaster, kettle, honestly anything you need to bake and cook, Sarah has got it! I was very excited that I was able to bake some brownies one night. The decor is very beautiful and cozy. She has everything you need to stay warm, blankets, wall heater, heated blankets and towel warming rack. I was stoked about the heated towel rack! Sarah made me feel very at home and welcomed, and made sure I knew how to operate all the different gadgets in the Hut and suggested some hikes in the area. The Hut was in the perfect location as it was in between both Wanaka and Queenstown which was great to access all the hiking in both areas. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Hut for a cozy mountain retreat.
Due to Corona I had to cancel 26 accommodations for our trip which where non-refundable. I asked if they could make an exception given the circumstances and refund the downpayment. 20 of them where so kind to do so. 5 others would offer us a voucher, which we won’t be using. But the gesture is great! And 1 replied that they followed the terms and conditions of our agreement and would not refund the amount. All fair. One could try and no harm done. But Cadrona never got back to me. Though early on in the pandemic they could find me very quickly to ask if I was still coming so they could charge my card for the second amount of the down payment for my stay in november.nnNote on 06/09/2021: After all this, the owner says that I never booked with them. Which is not true. So I uploaded cancellation request one of a few requests I send them because they never answered and the booking confirmation.
Stayed here whilst working in Queenstown. Great location, fire place produces an amazing amount of heat. Only let down is water pressure. The shower dribbles on you which is not so much fun.
Great and lovely place to stay. Well maintained, very clean and has all necessities you need. Sarah is also great with communication making booking worry free .
Very beautiful and calm place. The house is very cozy. Our family loved our stay there
