My name is Samantha Carroll, owner and photographer of SAM CARROLL PHOTOGRAPHY.

I live in Masterton, Wairarapa, and specialize in portraits for families, couples, maternity sessions, pets, and styled model and senior photos. I dabble in wedding, property, and studio work, as well, so don’t be afraid to ask for something outside of the box!

I started photography when I was at 16. But during that time, I didn’t know I was creative in photography, and had the power to see the beauty in everything. Now I feel blessed to have my hobby as my profession.

Picking up a camera gives me an opportunity to capture a specific vision to share with others. Ultimately, a well captured image represents a moment in time that is expressed infinitely, and that’s enough of a reason for me to take a camera around with me wherever I go.

I always shoot in RAW and in manual mode. All of my post-processing is done in both Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. As an artist, the biggest favor I ever did myself was to stop comparing my work to that of others. And concentrate on my own editing style, creating color combinations that combined all my favorite things into one custom look. A mixture of rich, hazy, matte and muted.

Life is busy, but I enjoy spending time with my family, and capturing the moments we can treasure forever.

My personal goal is to preserve time... make memories stay put... to gaze upon a moment and feel the raw emotions rising from within that image… and I want to do that for you.

I also offer corporate and commercial equine work as well as documentary 'Day in the Life' images. Whilst I am based in East Anglia I am happy to cover the whole of the UK."
