The Salvation Army is suppose to provide the 'much-needed relief in tight household budgets' and considering the financial state of most, this salvation army is overpriced. You are looking at no less than $5 per clothing item and that's even for the 'not so nice' items. Credit due to the $1 bin is a good idea but unfortunate for those that have a form of disability that doesn't allow them to look.nSince the extension they have got some better stuff but considering what they get is donated it's greedy to say the least for some of the things I saw eg. $50 for a small mirror with Angels, $20 for a dress, $10 for a PS2 game?nThroughout the shop a strong odor of unrination was extremely unpleasant, as was the heavy eye of the workers surveying the customers making them converse next to me about being uncomfortable.nOtherwise the place is tidy and beautifully laid out.nRacks are clearly marked making it easier to find what you are looking for and items are of good quality. I did in the least walk out with a DVD $2 and some small wall shelves $10.
Great op shop, loads of bargains and very tidy.
Great place for buying some stuff and it provides car park area.
We came down from Christchurch for the day and visited the op shops in Ashburton. We were not disappointed here the place was lovely and tidy well set up and had some very nice things at a good price. Will be back to visit! Keep up the good work.
Some things can be on the dearer side BUT I have found things here for extreamly cheap aslwell. They have a wide range of items such as household furniture, clothing, books, cds etc and the place is also super tidy. The lady I've met who work there are super friendly and always have a lovely chat with them
