ARCHERY & SWORD COMBAT: Step into history and learn ancient fighting skills from Medieval Europe with this Taupo re-enactment group.

Story

The Company of the Sable Hart is a medieval re-enactment group based in Taupo. We represent a company of mercenary archers and soldiers from England who are based in southern France on the Spanish boarder during the Hundred Year War between 1350 and 1420 AD.

We practise every Sunday at Owen Delany Park Taupo at 10am. Enter gate one and take an immediate left and drive down onto the rugby fields. Follow the bottom of the bank to your right until you reach the metal track. Follow that to your left to reach the training grounds.

Mission

To fight, clash swords, shoot arrows, pillage, laugh, plunder, dance and drink copious amounts of mead while doing it in the name of our great King.

Products

Membership is $40 per year adult and $20 under 15. Come and have a go for $5 bond to use club equipment. The bond is returned if equipment is returned undamaged. Target fees apply for non medieval period archers.
