Great place for working holiday visa people!!nLots of ads for places to work are put up here.nThe rates are great at 150$/week for a shared room, and 195$/week for a private one.nVery cozy common area, and two very nice ladies for staff
A great backpackers run by a very friendly and helpful lady. Stayed in a bunk room of eight which was cosy. All facilities were neat and tidy. Other guests are a mix of backpackers and permanent residents. The atmosphere was friendly with everyone getting along. Close to all facilities. An enjoyable stay.
Overall a pretty, cozy, economic, and simple hostel. It's definitely seen brighter days and worn in a lot of ways. Most of the negative complaints basically come down to it's age and use but for a cheap place it's not bad. Host was extremely nice.nnMy issue is with the building structure in storms. I was there during a rainy and windy night and it was pretty challenging to sleep as the building constantly sounded like it was going to collapse in on itself. All the partition walls that they've added to create rooms basically creak like an according and sound like someone is breaking down your door when the exterior wall faces any wind. It's crazy how loud it was. Overall I wouldn't stay here again if it was a stormy night but I would any other day of the week.

It's one of those grimy, disgusting, bed bug haven hostels that rarely gets clean with a manager that is as friendly and kind as a bush possum. I guess that's what you get when you go with the cheapest option. Still wish I went to the blue moon instead.nnMost of the people staying there were essentially living there full time coming and going all night long which is not such a big deal aside from the fact that the walls are basically made of cardboard and you can hear everything anyone does. Just one night there made me so depressed. I felt like quiting my adventures and going straight home.nnBathrooms were disgusting I used the public ones down the street which were in nicer condition. Wow. I made a huge mistake staying here, wish I looked at some of the other reviews. I would recommend blue moon or anywhere else and if you stay here I wish you the best of luck.
Honestly, I don’t understand the previous review. We enjoyed our stay. The lady at the reception was lovely, everything was clean and there were heaps of other backpackers also some workers, but they were nice as well. Nice location as well. I would definitely come back.
