I'm a personal trainer who runs various fitness classes covering all aspects of training for any age and fitness level. I also offer sports massage.
My passion for sport and exercise over the last 14 years has seen me achieve my Nidan black belt (2nd degree) in Kyokushin, the strongest full contact Karate which i have competed in at National and International levels earning several titles. I also have a certificate in Exercise and Sports Performance and a Bachelor degree in Sport and Exercise Science after four years of full time study.
Group sessions are primarily cardiovascular workouts incorporating both aerobic and anaerobic aspects of training, targeting improvements in general fitness along with the benefits of muscular strength and endurance.
Bag/Pad sessions will involve a mixture of punching and kicking with correct instruction so as to avoid injury. This type of training is not only a great workout physically, but it improves a persons psychological well-being by allowing them to release any frustrations and stress in a safe and positive environment.
Circuit sessions target muscular endurance and strength through the use of various modern and old school training techniques through the use of the peripheral heart action training method for added cardiovascular benefits. Many studies have shown that quick and intense full body workouts are more effective in achieving fat loss and muscle gain than slow and steady paced workouts such as jogging.
Swiss ball sessions will suit beginners or those who are easing back into an exercise regime as the exercises performed will help to develop core strength and stability.
My specialized core workouts encompass all aspects of core training, targeting improvements in core stabilization, endurance, strength and power to develop a strong and healthy core.
My personal training & partnered training sessions will initially involve specific test for body composition, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, strength and power as requested by the clients along with a posture analysis to determine any muscle imbalances or areas needing work. This will allow the clients to create goals and track their progress as they improve. It will also allow me to create individualized training plans specific to each client allowing them to reach their personal goals whilst improving their health and prolonging their life.
Sports massage will be available to aid in the recovery process from hard training. This will not only help ease DOMS (Delayed Onset of Muscle Soreness) but it is also a great way to relax and feel refreshed.
All levels of fitness are welcome and strongly encouraged to improve their lives through exercise and education, however class sizes are limited so bookings are essential.
