This is by far the best police academy in the world. There’s no drill sergeants, no intimidations, no fear, no nagging, and it’s absolutely not like a military boot camp from the ones in America. It a college like academy that has a football field, fitness gym, safe classrooms, polite and patient instructors and coaches, and a shooting range that has a non-lethal weapons training and a firearms training that is only used for specific critical situations. I recommend this college to every young people who want to become police officers in the future.
Such a small museum, I stayed for more than 2 hrs. Recommend to have a look.
A rich history of NZ Police with great interactive, hands-on options for all ages. Friendly, helpful staff enhanced the experience also !
The police college catering team has been really hitting the mark in the last week, food has been excellent. General atmosphere is a little stressed and busy but having a good meal really sets you at ease, thank you for what you do.
A very interesting museum, well worth a visit and a trip down memory lane for ex police staff!
