Beautiful old villa in lovely condition and well maintained. Everything about the place and the decor was lovely, from the little boutique soaps in the rooms to the paintings all around the hotel. Lovely living room to relax in.
Wonderful experience. This place is historic and perfectly preserved. Lumsden is the perfect location to explore the entire Southern Lakes area. An easy booking and access system and amazing facilities as well as comfy rooms, not to mention the hospitality of the pub, all very close, made this the highlight of our motorcycle tour of the area.
This a very reasonably priced accommodation in a clean, tidy and well-maintained historic hotel. The hotel is located near to Te Anau and ultimately, Milford Sound. As an elder 67+ I was still comfortable with the shared facilities kitchen, bathroom, toilet. I would return.
Thank you Melanie for helping me to once again enjoy my annual pilgrimage to Lumsden. Everyone is so friendly and able to help make my brief stay enjoyable. The hotel has been presented with all the charm of a bygone age but retains the quality of service any traveller expects in today's world.
Lovely place, quirky rooms, very comfortable beds and nice touches like muffins in the kitchen when we arrived. Really enjoyed our stay.
