Story

Our licensed and iconic restaurant Coco at the Roxy encourages visitors to come early and stay late. CoCo caters for all events, both on and off site.

Open 7 days from 9am for breakast, the Roxy houses two luxurious cinema screens, a 65 seat restaurant with stunning interior features created by the extraordinary team at Weta Workshop.
Working to bring the movies back to Miramar for the enjoyment of locals and visitors to Wellington alike, the team welcome you to come for a visit soon.

I love this place. It's classic. So spacious. They offer combo of popcorn drink and ice cream. A lot of tables, you can buy chips and other things. I love the chairs, so spacious and splendid. Outside is magnificent with chairs, space and nearby stores. You'll definitely manage to get a parking space
Booked this place for a unique corporate launch and they were amazing for it! The team was super professional and coordinated IT and catering really well. Food was fantastic. Attendees had a gold class experience for this event. Would highly rate the Roxy for anything similar for anyone considering. Thanks guys!
Here on the 7th Oct 2023. Absolutely beautiful theatre and exquisite in holding nostalgic value. Makes modern day cinemas look sterile. Sound system superb and seating a pleasure to sit in. Also nice to have dining/bar/cafe to spend time at also.
Our band played at a function last night at Roxy Cinema, and we were well looked after by staff the whole night. We arrived and had a beautiful meal waiting for us, and the staff were so accomodating. I will definitely recommend having a function there.
Amazing old cinema with a relaxing place to eat and drink. These older cinemas are the best. A must go to location if in wellington. Great staff and great service with amazing choice in food

A historic building that has been renovated. It has a downstairs cafe/dining space and the first floor is almost a museum of exhibits and models. It shows an eclectic mix of modern and older classics. Well worth a visit on your way to/from Weta Workshop
Such a cool and retro place. Very comfy seats which is good at how long films are these days. Clean and tidy. Staff very friendly.
Gorgeous building, super comfy&spacious seating, really great details in the decor inside. Family of 4 for just under $40, they also do cheaper tickets on a Tuesday and have a film club too. Fair bit of parking very close by. There's numerous options for food, some vegetarian and gluten free though didn't spot any vegan. Seems to get fairly busy so maybe book online in advance for a new release
I was out wheeling, down to see the Harbour and a notice on Roxy notices caught my eye. It advertises and supports local events, have awesome atmosphere about it, art deco in design, or correct me if not quite right word. The hub of Miramar with a Cafe,bar,movies,lounge chairs, or areas to sit,eat,drink non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages coffee,tea etc is served with fine food/Cafe style snacks. Movies to go too or just hang out with your friends or by yourself, cause you will never feel alone. Most are very friendly.
