Rotorua Golf Club

A great golf course for anyone visiting the area. I hadn’t planned on playing here but we are on a long trip around the world so I haven’t played for some time but we had been to Te Puia Māori cultural centre across the road so I just stopped by yesterday to see if they could fit me in. The guy working in the pro shop was super helpful and friendly and showed me the rental clubs they had and was happy to help me out. The course itself is very playable, wide fairways and well maintained greens which run true but not ridiculously fast some courses often have the stimp way too fast which can make it unplayable and the layout is pretty flat and easily walkable.nThe signature holes 14/15/16- are around the lake, a geothermal lake with hot water and volcanic mud pools- and as this is the only course in the world that has this feature, it adds to the experience- just don’t go in there to retrieve any wayward shots.nAll in all a very good experience a chip in from 40m to save par after a snap hooked tee shot on hole 4 of course added to it

Stunning scenery,course in beautiful condition,other golfers very courtious and the pro is one of the coolest cats you could ever meet.100% recommend a game here.

Great par 70 course, few short but challenging holes. Longish rough, stay on fairways!nNice par 3’s. Greens were super quick

Love coming to this course. Great holes, the team have done a great job looking after the course. Also great staff at the pro shop with a good selection of gear

Feels like playing the same par 4s over and over again until about 14, where it becomes much more interesting around the lakes. Too many holes along busy roads for my liking. Oh and beware the troll who works in the pro shop, didn’t even get a “hi” out of the bloke!!
