My wife and I went here because she had been a few times before and really enjoyed it. She ordered Fish and Chips, I ordered Ceaser Salad. It was busy on the day, so it took nearly 45min for our lunch to come out - which was understandable. There was leftover plates on other tables so it was a bit of a mess. But watching the birds eating the leftovers was entertaining anyway. When lunch finally arrived I would have eaten anything that was put in front of me. Sadly my salad was possibly the worst Ceaser Salad I have ever eaten. The poached Egg was just the yoke, most of the rest of the egg was gone. The iceberg lettuce was poorly ripped - no love shown to it at all. Some chunks were still in the original layers. The bacon and chicken had no love shown either. So basically it was a poor result all around. I ate it anyway and didn’t complain because I was enjoying lunch with my wife. But then she said she couldn’t eat the fish. It was crumbed like fish fingers. It was over cooked and dried out. Basically it was rubbery. She sent hers back and they gave a refund. So that was my sad experience - we had high hopes that never came true. The staff were very friendly and the environment was lovely.
We were told 30 minute wait but meals took an hour to come out. Sliders were tiny and dry, not worth 25.50 for 3 sliders and 10 fries. Loaded fries were tiny bits of bacon and small amount of fries. Service was average. Great playground area for kids and plenty of highchairs was one bonus Kid-friendliness: Great playground area, plenty of highchairs and kids menu
Great location and outdoor and indoor dining available. On a sunny day have your sustenance outside by the wee pond. Great vibe and good service. Waffle fries are hard to come but but on this day they were very salty. The fish slider I probably wouldn't have again panko crumbed fish with a more refined salad may coax me though! but my eggs benedict was tasty. You definitely need some food when you're wine tasting and this is a good option. There's also gin tasting in the village too which I managed to squeeze in after lunch.
We had lunch here in between tastings, and then popped in to the winery for a wine tasting which was really lovely. We did our wine tasting with Kaz, who was super friendly and full of information on the different wines. Lovely experience here, well worth stopping off as part of a wine tour.
Nice place, the outdoor area is awesome. Tables for all size groups and a decent kids playground. It’s fenced and nice and safe for the young ones. The cafe is nice, good food and coffee. Could do with a few more lunch options like burgers etc
We stopped here for breakfast in the morning before picking up our e-bikes and then finished our day shopping for gourmet local produce and gin tasting. Something for everyone here. Friendly service.
We ordered a cheese tasting platter. Came with 4 selections of pickled veg black garlic 4 ritz crackers and the smallest quantity of 2 cheeses hardly a'cheese' tasting board. Service slow and very disjointed. Duck pond behind us smelt rank!
Morrie's Munchies in the caravan out the back do delicious GF oyster and mussel dishes. Well matched with a gin from The Gin Room. Yum yum!!Food: 5/5
We went for brunch and I was impressed they had a few more interesting choices on the menu instead of just the same things that you get everywhere. I also liked that the green tea I ordered came in a pot with enough tea for more than one cup. They were able to deal well with several separate payments for our large group. And the Village Green smoothies are amazing!
Nice place to go with kids, just need some more variety on the menu.
