A true gem of a cafe in Rolleston! The ambiance, service, food, and hospitality are exceptional. You'll want to try this place. I had the big breakfast, and my friend had the eggs bene with smoked salmon; both dishes were incredibly fresh and reasonably priced.
Always had breakfast before work at RH but the food quality has dropped a lot and same as the service… over heated my muffins or loaves or the egg omelette is slightly burnt… food is not ready by 7:30am sometimes…
It’s really shocking, more than half of the whole bowl of fries was basically trash. Leftovers like that should have been thrown away, but they still sold it to customers. Unbelievable.
Excellent lunch today. Staff and service exemplary. My friend and I had lots of catching up to do and we weren't hassled to leave. Thankfully quite time of day. We will be back!!!
Visited here with a friend. We used to be regulars and decided to give it another try. Food was decidedly below average with soggy bread/toast, hard butter and served on cold plates. Greasy effect on the plates after is testimony to this. Coffee is not up to the standard we have come to expect from Robert Harris. Will definitely not be back - would rather travel into Christchurch for better food etc.
