Ive been a regular here for over a year, and I always ask if the muffins are fresh and absolutely love the honesty and willingness i usually receive.- I get the muffins are fine the following day especially if heated I personally don't enjoy them call it neuro diverse but its the texture for me. The Indian lady serving was not polite and essentially lied saying yes they were fresh today. I've been here enough to 100% know this was a lie and they were not fresh upon tasting it and essentially threw it in the bin. I am the most disappointed in being lied to - just be honest then I would have made an informed decision to not purchase one today. I always arrange business meetings here as previously felt it was the best place in rolleston but this has left a beyond sour taste in my mouth and will not be back. Very disappointed and could see the lovely lady behind the coffee machine was also a bit disappointed and she was atleast a smiley face. This is not my first bad experience with this one particular staff member, it's a shame because the rest of the staff are generally great.
Paid $40 for two coffees and supposedly some avocado toast for takeaway. I waited a minimum of 15 minutes only to receive a warm ‘iced coffee’ with a total of 8 small ice cubes that was watered or milked down with a minimal ratio of coffee. Waited another 5 minutes for the avocado toast which I opened and found 2 slices of multigrain bread that were both cold and untoasted with a side of half an avocado. Given that this was a takeaway order I was not presented with any cutlery, salt, or pepper to assemble my bread and avocado with. Underwhelmed by the mediocre and blunt service. Did not feel welcomed or fulfilled by either the staff or food.
We have lived in Rolleston for over 30 years and hve been going regulary to RH. Today sadly the food was not up to standard. I had Smashed avocado with beetroot. It did not say on the menu it came with onion which I am allergic to and the beetroot was so acidic I couldnt eat it and the avocado was NOT ripe at all and very cold straight from the fridge?. I have a stomach ached since eating it depite putting the beetroot to the side as the toast was soaked in vinegar. The coffee was fantastic as usual and I got a slice that was far too sweet but I needed something to take the acidic taste away. Please either review this menu item or change the descriptor.
A very good place for breakfast or brunch. Very popular among locals so sometimes a bit hard to grab a table. Standard menu. Friendly service. Love the deco as well.
I had coffee and food few weeks ago, it quite nice and decent. Customer service can be bit improved.
