Really love this place. I’m pretty picky with coffee and Majestic honestly delivers every time. The flavour and aroma are spot on, and their Long Black is one of the best I’ve had around here.nnWe also really enjoy the food. This time I went for a homemade cheese scone even though choosing between that and their toasties is always a hard decision and it was amazing — not dry, not heavy, just really well made. You can tell there’s real care and skill behind it. The menu in general is great.nnI came with my little one and he absolutely loved the kids toastie too.nnThe café itself is lovely — clean, well laid out, baby-friendly with high chairs, and just a really nice vibe. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, and the baristas really know what they’re doing.nnYou can tell Mel and Robert really care about this place. It shows in the coffee, the food and the atmosphere. Definitely a café we keep coming back to
Absolutely delicious food!nI had the avo smash which amazing. The others I dined with raved about the chicken waffles and big breakfasts. Cheesecake of the day was huge hit too.nGreat selection and great service!
Came into Majestic Rolleston and tried their new Crispy Cauliflower Bang Bang Salad and it was amazing! The Cauliflower was crispy and the salad had a beautiful dressing and nice crunch with the pumpkin seeds and peanuts added. Absolutely would get it again.
My daughter & I made our first ever visit to the Majestic Cafe, Rolleston on Thursday 17 July. We were warmly welcomed in & seated, with menus provided at our chosen table. We felt spoilt for choice, with a wide variety of food & drink selections available on the menu. Additionally, there was some delicious looking cabinet food on offer.nnI ordered the 'Creamy Mushrooms' meal which includes sautéed mushrooms, caramelised onions, creamy mornay sauce, topped with a poached egg & fried shallots served on toasted brioche there's an option to add crispy bacon if you want. For my drink, I ordered a large butterscotch hot chocolate, which came with some marshmallows.nnMy daughter ordered the Big Breakfast meal which includes bacon, sausage, potato hash, eggs your own way, mushrooms, tomato & relish with a toasted sourdough there's a vegetarian option where you can swap out the bacon & sausage for avocado & halloumi. For her drink, she ordered a large dark chocolate mocha, which came with a chocolate fish.nnOur drinks were brought to the table first, while we waited for our meals to be cooked. This gave us a chance to try out our drinks which were really nicely made, chat, have a quick look around the cafe & take some photos. The Majestic Cafe is cosy, warm, inviting, clean & tidy. It has an array of table seatings - to suit both small & larger groups. An outdoor seating area is a bonus, with an outlook onto some nice large green space.nnOur meals arrived & were beautifully presented. My 'Creamy Mushrooms' meal was absolutely devine!!! My daughter said that her 'Big Breakfast' meal was a generous portion size & tasting full of flavour.nnWe both raved about each of our meals & drinks & asked why we hadn't visited sooner. I'd always been interested in coming to the Majestic Cafe, Rolleston for so long - but each time I drove past, it was always super busy with customers. That's a big credit to Majestic Cafe, because without a doubt this place makes delicious food, provides great customer service & is value for money. The Majestic Cafe, Rolleston has now taken our number one spot, as our new favourite cafe in Christchurch. We're just kicking ourselves that we hadn't come here sooner!!!nnThank you Majestic Cafe, Rolleston for your amazing food, drinks & hospitality on Thursday morning! We'll be back.
What a delightful lunch escape! This little café is a hidden gem with both cozy indoor seating and a charming outdoor area for those who love a fresh-air dining experience.nnSweet temptations await in the cabinets, filled with sweet treats, while the menu boasts an array of savoury and full-meal options. We opted to share a fresh, flavorful salad and a perfectly crispy bowl of fries—plenty for two! Honestly, a full plate to myself would’ve been a tragic case of food waste.nnTo sip? The ‘Tea for Two’—a generous pot that poured out 2.5 cups each yes, we measured in sips of satisfaction. As the tea darkened near the end, a quick request for hot water kept it smooth and sippable.nnGreat food, great atmosphere, and a place that makes you want to linger just a little longer. We’ll definitely be back!
