Came here on a very hot day to get the Caesar salad! The food was amazing, the eggs were just way overdone and were more boiled than poached and it was very sparse with the bacon. Other than that a tasty and filling salad and it was nice to eat in the sun. There are a lot of ibis birds around that jump onto the tables and eat from people’s plates though- which is not the fault of anyone so it does not deduct from the star rating, just something to note! The workers were very helpful in shooing them away. I really enjoyed my salad and my time here, and i would definitely return!

We were delighted with our dinner here. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the food was Divine. Highly recommend the Surf and Turf, had to enlist my husband to help me do justice to it.nOne of those meals where you want to lick the plate. So yummy.nI suggest a 10km hike beforehand because the meals are a decent size. Nice wines to go with. Will remember this place and recommend it to anyone in the area.
Really disappointing experience after good reviews and a recommendation. We ordered entrees and mains and they were all poor. My medium steak arrived blue and after recooking was rare at one end and well done at the other, with juices running on the plate from a lack of resting time. Vegetables were not fresh I'm guessing a frozen mix, fried were soggy and my husband's camembert entree was undercooked. Staff were friendly and I understand that the usual chef wasn't available, but we could have had an amazing meal at the Turangi Lodge for the same price, or chosen somewhere much cheaper where we would have expected this quality of food.
We recommend this place. The food was delicious. We had the sirloin and market fish. Dish sizes were just right, steak cooked to perfection, and the fish was melt in your mouth. The place was fully booked but still found a seat for us, and the staff were polite and responsive.
