Story

Rivenrock is a new purpose built mountainbike park that has been open since the 28th of January 2017. Located in the Wairarapa, a region only one hour’s drive or train ride from Wellington, Rivenrock will feature a network of professionally designed and built trails to suit riders of all styles and ability. Rivenrock also offers a shuttle to transport riders to the highest point of the park for those who don’t wish to ride up.

Rivenrock is being established the Hind family, the land-owners, who believe it holds the potential to become a world class mountain bike park due to its special topography, incredible scenery and great location. They are being ably assisted in designing and building the trails by Paul Langlands.

Rivenrock is located 10km south of Masterton and 20km north of Carterton on Mt Holdsworth Road - the main access point to the stunning Tararua Forest Park.

Treated myself to a trying out this place while staying in Martinborough over new years. Staff were fantastic, happy to chat through which trails to do, what to expect, etc... A nice variety of trails and grades, with a good entry level grade 5. Fast, flowy, technical, jumps, drops etc... A bit of everything. Look forward to coming back again to see how the place and evolved as it has loads of potential for more trails. Wasn't brave enough to drive across the ford with the car, so parked up at the gate
Great mtb Park which is only getting better! Awesome trails and very friendly owners and staff who shared their knowledge and recommendations on trails. Great to have a bike wash facility on site. Rode at Rivenrock over two days and stayed at Mt Holdsworth DOC campsite nearby. Definitely worth the trip!
The park is awesome.. it's a perfect recreational activities for the family. The trails is very flowy. Management is good and very friendly
Great friendly place and cool trails. Loops in valley great for kids and those wanting to work on their confidence or even small jumps. Shuttle to top easy to use. Tracks down fast and flowy with some rocky technical sections. Highly recommend Barney Rubble and Corona Coaster. Good safety and track instructions. Will be back. Thanks so much!
Great bike park love the tech and jumps
Wouldn't recommend. Owners have attitudes especially the wife she's arrogant as. Walked up to check it out felt uncomfortable as walking up there. no signage and first thing they said to me was what am i doing here with a attitude. Signage is very poor office does not even have a sign. Ill take my money some were else
Excellent bike park! Innovative and interesting trails and I'll definitely be bringing my mates back with me next time.
Super rocky and loose terrain but a blast with friends with nicely built trails I would really recommend going here
Fun trails. Awesome having shuttle service that is pretty quick turn around. Worth getting at least 6 shuttle pass for few hours of fun variety of trails
