Twisted Tourism brings you the creepiest holiday in the World. An isolated 1890's cabin inspired by true crime and horror films. It's the holiday to die for!
Black Gate Cabin was built in 1890 as a six room logging homestead. It has been almost completely un-renovated to date. Over the years it has been a retreat for nuns, a family home, a working farm and the residence of one of New Zealand's most notorious criminal families.
The accommodation consists of a large family kitchen with single bed (sleeps one), parlour (sleeps one), Master bedroom (sleeps two), Nursery Memorium Room (sleeps two), wash house (I would wash fast), Henry's room (sleeps no one, as if you are willing to sleep there, we don't want to put you up!) and a toilet (don't forget your gumboots), it's out of the house, over a bridge and next to the creek near the trees.
There isn't any power. There isn't a phone line. There is no internet coverage. You will be in isolation with only candle light, torches and your wits to find your way. And there is plenty to find.
