Rheem New Zealand

Firstly, I don't normally write reviews. We had one of the first Heat Pump Hot Water cylinders from Rheem. One of the early adopters, to say the least it worked well but we had issues, it cost a bit over time. I do know they have improved the system with newer models. When our unit broke down, we received great support from Rheem, above and beyond as they empathized for our situation. They recommended a standard hot water cylinder, quick recovery unit and it's been great, more than meets our needs. First and foremost ...... the Rheem service and professionalism has been outstanding and I highly recommend them. Definitely use them again and for our other properties. A heads up to Wayne Richards ..... Territory Manager. He has excellent knowledge and was a great help.

Rheem NZ have great knowledge and products. I find their service team are very easy to work with and they are not like other suppliers that make covering warranty jobs an issue, which is why i suggest to my clients to buy and install a Rheem. I've had a great run with installing their gas instaneous hot water heaters and hot water cylinders, nice to know they're still making some of them in NZ. Good on ya Rheem keep up the good work

Rheem product is the most reliable in the market, they are our primary supplier for hot water systems gas, electric and heat pumps, there gear is reliable and if something does go wrong they have the support here in NZ, and I can get hold of them. Highly recommended.

Bought brand new Rheem hot water cylinder which was supplied and installed by a qualified Plumber and Electrician. Three days later no hot water, Electrician found faulty element was the cause and was without hot water for 4 days as rheem contractors never turned up when promised. Wanted to support NZ products but this is the service you get. Don't recommend Rheem for your choice as a product!

Disgraceful Service. We have this hot water system across 30 apartments and it has failed 12 times in the last 30 days. No apologies from Rheem, No feedback and every time it fails I am losing more tenants. Currently this has cost me over $10,000 it is no joke.

Super Disappointed. Firstly with our Rheem Hot Water Cylinder. Our Plumber had no luck with them when querying it's failure at 5 year 5 month mark. Admittedly, this was just outside it's 5 year warranty period - but expectation was that these should last 10-15 years at least. Second of all with appalling lack of response to my email to Rheem via their website initially 3 days ago and another yesterday morning 24 hrs at time of this review stating that I was still awaiting reply. Very poor all-round. Would expect better from long-standing Kiwi company.

My Rheem water heater had an intermittent fault after 4 years. Rheem authorised a full replacement and paid for the swap out. All done seemlessly. Very impressed with their after sales service. Many thanks.

Don't touch peter cox or rheem products. They don't last nor do they honor warranties. A cylinder with a 10yr warranty be prepared for it to last half that time. Extremely disappointing.

New hot water cylinder and the element lasts less than 20 months. Not covered by warranty. Pay a premium for a cylinder but the key part that makes it work is of poor quality and has only a 1 year warranty. No interest in supporting their products. I find this lacking in integrity.
