Absolutely delicious food, I liked it so much I went back the next day! The vegan tantanmen is probably one of the best ramen I've had in my life. So many delicious options, including vegan options, and there's cocktails!
Guess they’ve changed chef. The chicken ramen used to be delicious with real chicken soup and fresh vegetables, now they put fried chicken in the soup ?! Flavour is not as genuine as previously… disappointed paying almost $20 for a chicken noodle soup!
Chose Ramen Ria for our first meal in Christchurch and had an A+ time here. Not to be deceived by my rating, I think everything was great but from an Asian’s perspective where I’ve tried the best ramens in Japan and also have been eating ramen since I was born, the broth of the Ramen here couldn’t compare to whatever I’ve had. The broth didn’t feel like it was rich enough BUT it was still a hot and nice bowl of goodness especially when it’s cold outside. I had their pork trio and also tried the duck buns. To help us along with the waiting time, there are board or card games available to waste some time. Service was amazing here, manager working the second floor was down to earth and super chill.
Direct quote from my partner as he gazes lovingly into his roast duck ramen, "My tastebuds could not be pleasured more than this." We love the tantanmen, roast duck obviously and a mixed plate of dumplings! He thought doing the ramen challenge would put him off, but here we are a week later to get our fix. Lovely atmosphere amongst the Riverside Market! Vegetarian options: Vegan ramen and dumplings Parking: Close paid parking, close ish free parking after 6pm
If put the fried chicken on the side, properly becomes better. The soup is too oily to drink. And fried chicken is not crispy but soggy. Went there on Tuesday so it’s good to have 2 ramen for 1 price but I won’t pay original price for it.
I've always been curious with this Raman place. I'm a Raman lover, so am really glad I tried this place. I had the Trio Pork Tonkatsu. The Raman was nice and not overcooked. The char sui and the pork belly was really nice, I wasn't too keen on the streaky bacon. The soft cooked egg was done perfectly. The broth unfortunately was underwhelming and let the dish down. It was nice but not as flavourful and rich as I was expecting of a Tonkatsu. I'll recommend this place for lunch and the donburi dishes as it's hard to go wrong.
Ordered the signature miso and pork trio Tonkotsu ramen, a little bit pricy as the portion size was small. However, taste were good. Order the wonton, should have ordered the dumpling instead.
I can't believe I waited this long to try this place. I highly recommend, the food is absolutely scrumptious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great, there aren't all that many tables inside but it's riverside, you can sit wherever you feel like. A great central place for in town and great food. Parking: I had to park 5 min walk away.
10/10 delicious vegan options. Get the vegan bento box! The service was amazing, staff were busy and handling it so well, very communicative and food came out in less than 20 minutes. We’re from out of town, but will definitely be back next time we’re here.
Excellent Taiwanese Beef Ramen. The broth was flavorful and not too heavy. The noodles were done right and the addition of the aji-tamago adds a nice twist to the classic Taiwanese beef noodle.
