The Old School Arts Centre is run by the Raglan Community Arts Council in a 19th century heritage building in Stewart St, Raglan, New Zealand. The Raglan Arts Council was formed in 1982 and became a Community Arts Council two years later.
The Raglan Community Arts Council is a statutory body, operating under the Arts Council of New Zealand Act. We are a charitable entity registered by the New Zealand Charities Commission, registration number CC24379, 14 May 2008. Donations are tax deductible. The Raglan Community Arts Council supports the arts in Raglan and acts as an umbrella organisation for Raglan arts groups and individuals involved in art and craft.
With exhibitions, concerts, monthly market, community clay shed, films, creative workshops and a thriving school holiday programme, the Old School is a busy place, offering a great deal to both visitors and the local community. Tutors provide clay art workshops, guitar lessons, drama and ballet classes. Rooms at the Old School Arts Centre are available for hire for workshops and other events. There is also a registered commercial kitchen available for hire. The Raglan Old School Arts Centre is wheel chair accessible with an accessible toilet and parking.
