Always very reliable vehicles, as we travel a lot to New Zealand we will always use RAD Car Hire
Do not trust this car rental in whangere, hired car went to Auckland , I live in Australia two weeks ,after I arrived back I got a fine for a lane that U are not allowed to travel in except buses ,we don't have in Australia the manager from Whangarei took from my visa debit card and then sent me the fine , I cannot contest this fine , as the transport newzealand, said it's with the hire company do not trust this company,read the fine print on every thing before committing yourself to hire, the manager of Asian nature has been extremely unhelpful about this situation, and also started to laugh also if you hire a car from whangere and you don't return car you will be charged 250 dollars extra , read the fine print not all rad are bad this one is very doggie place untrustworthy place of business absolutely my objective I can't contest the fine , about what happened because it's a hire vehicle he also charged me an admin fee on top of fine ? Also which there shouldn't be as he took money from my visa debit card actually this was not a speeding fine but a lane that they have here only buses are allowed never seen one that's how I aquired fine so I get fine sent bye rad with we have taken money from my account because of me not been able to contest fine as it's not my own personal car next time take public transportation but read car rental before U hire this manger money hungry they don't care about U the money is all they won't and that sums it up nicely
Worst Rental Car Experience Ever!nnI had an extremely frustrating and stressful experience with RaD Car Hire in Whangarei, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Their website lists American Express Amex and Visa as payment options, so I initially chose to pay with my Amex card.nnOn the day of pick-up, I completed their pre-check-in process in hopes of a smooth and hassle-free experience. Unfortunately, everything quickly went downhill. I was contacted by a staff member named Ray or Rey, who began harassing me even before I had a chance to sort out my situation. My flight to Whangarei had been cancelled, and I informed him that I needed some time to figure out my arrival time. Instead of being understanding, he kept insisting that my payment method wasn’t working, even though I had already told him I would handle it once I got settled.nnDespite explaining that I was still dealing with the flight issue, Ray called multiple times, interrupting my efforts to resolve the situation. It became incredibly frustrating that he couldn’t seem to understand that I was in the middle of a travel disruption.nnOnce I was settled, I tried reaching out to him, but he didn’t answer. I added a Visa card to my pre-check-in and sent him a message about the update. While I was boarding my next flight, he called again, this time saying my Visa card wasn’t working. I informed him that I was boarding and couldn’t speak, yet he kept calling despite my request for space. I eventually messaged him again, explaining that I would visit their office after work at 4:00 pm to resolve everything in person.nnThe next day, while I was working with clients, Ray continued to call me repeatedly on both my personal and work phones, even though we had already agreed I would handle things in person. This continued harassment was beyond frustrating. During my lunch break, I went to their office to pay in person, only to find that Ray wasn’t even there. I spoke with another staff member, who apologized for his behavior, but the experience was incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable.nnIt’s also incredibly misleading for RaD Car Hire to advertise payment options that don’t actually work, creating unnecessary inconvenience for customers. This whole experience has left me extremely dissatisfied. I will never use their service again, for either personal or business travel, and I highly advise others to avoid them as well.
I would reccomnend this car hire firm.nVery helpful.
Free pickup and drop off from City Marina; nice! Diverse selection, fair prices, and well maintained fleet of imported vehicles. Insurance is optional. Sharon and her team were delightful.
