Room wasn't as big as we thought, bathroom was very small and not what we visionwd nor felt we paid for. No hand towels because of covid so we had two face cloths and two towel. Reception personal was excellent when I requested two more towels. Receptionist was very friendly. Great location and easy to get around. Felt very safe compared to Auckland.
Great location and easy to get to from the airport on the city bus from the airport. We booked it for the closeness to the ferry port as we are going to the South Island. It was a good size room, clean, good facilities and a nice bathroom, although the shower was not very big.
Good acomodation for short stay. Room was nice and clean, receptionist very polite and helpful. Parking just across the road in the building. I liked the shower most.
We were impacted by the flooding in Auckland so unable to travel as planned due to airport closure and a state of emergency that was declared on the 28th of Jan. I called The Quest immediately when I got notice our flights were cancelled, no answer, so emailed them to let them know that we will not be able to stay at The Quest so requested that they please don’t charge me. They called me and said that I needed to have given 48 hours notice so they are still going to charge me. I followed up with an email, asking again, and explaining that I do understand their policy but we did not know 48hrs in advance that we will be affected by flooding, but they still did not want to make an exception. This was extremely disappointing, not only with the $485 out of pocket, but showing no compassion or understanding.
This is what corporate greed looks like. Our flights from Auckland to Wellington got cancelled on the 28th January 2023 because of the flooding and state of emergency in Auckland. Same day we were supposed to check in We contacted them immediately after we got the notification that our flights were cancelled and pleaded with Quest to refund us, but they would have non of it because of their so called ‘refund’ policy that requires 48 hours notice. Now please tell me how am I supposed to do that if the entire Auckland airport closes and cancel all flights on the very day that we were supposed to fly to Wellington. Many companies are giving Aucklanders refunds because of this exceptional circumstances, why can’t Quest at least show some good faith
Super helpful after hours assistance. Mist place room keys. No problem for friendly and helpful staff. Spaces rooms with a small shower area.
Eric my man was an amazing person to talk to from the start to finish. Made us feel welcome and sorted our requests with ease. Rooms are very central and if you book in a vehcile carpark with quest comes in handy. Thank's team enjoyed our stay.
When I called for reservation 1st time pick up and when duration conversation some reason cut off. I called again 3 more times cut phone straight away. Receptionist was very rude date 27/11/2022 time 5:00 PM.
Staff very pleasant & helpful, clean and tidy, comfortable beds had everything we needed great central location
Stayed here for 2 nights , upon arrival was met by a grumpy security guard, contacted the concierge via intercom, who then asked for credit card details in the middle of the street. No privacy, the apartment was overpriced and the size of a shoe boxand nothing like the modern looking pictures online. The bathroom and shower cubicle is so small and the water pressure is a just above a trickle. No air con just a very loud noisy fan going all night. Nobody available to talk to about any issues, a tired shabby room with carpet stains and a tablecloth to hide the horrible table The only positive was the locatiion being close to the waterfront. I’ve stayed in better backpackers
