A great location to have a wander through these gardens. Lots of areas to enjoy and take in the lake views and garden settings. Indoor ice skating, most picturesque scenes while playing a round or two ofnDisc Golf. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a relaxing time here. In early June the gardens light up with LUMA each year that is truly spectacular. Stay longer and you'll enjoy the international ski fields of which you'll be spoilt for 3 locations very close buy or a short trip over to Wanaka to enjoy more and the beautiful location that Wanaka will provide as an alternative to the adrenaline vibe of Queenstown. Be prepared for your breathe to be taken away.
These gardens are beautiful. They are so close to the centre of town, and filled with beautiful trees and flowers. The views across the lake are stunning. You can also play disc golf which is popular. Take a wander around these gardens. You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful, especially if you are looking for a quiet place close to the water. There seemed to be some odd items set up for a play/skit going on I didn’t watch. Also people were playing disc golf. Not the most beautiful garden I’ve visited, but it seems to function as a park as well. Good for hanging out or going for a run.
Free parking for 4 hours and amazing views. Make sure you don't miss out on the gardens
