Beautiful park, wonderful surrounding. Variety of different gardens including Small Japanese garden. They even have an animal enclosure area and ducks walking freely throughout the park. Plenty of areas to have picnic under the trees or near lakes.
Lovely day spent here visiting Invercargill and the famous Burt Munro from the movie the fastest indian from Invercargill, New Zealand. After watching the movie with my husband, we wanted to see the place and indeed wish granted.
I love Queens park there is so much to see and do. We do a regular wander through the birds and animals to the playground then off to see the ducks . The park is well maintained and typically clean. A great space for events and family outings. Kids love the playground although the water features can be hard work with a toddler to keep out of the water . I really like that the animal park is free to view any time even if they look a bit sad a lot. A must see if you are ever in Invercargill.
Great park. Has lots of entertainment options including a zoo, golf course, running track and so much
This garden blows my mind! Roses and fuchsia were in full bloom, but then the aviary and native plant garden was top notch! The cafe has great food after a long wander around the property. I spent a good 3 hours
