Since 1973 the bizarre buildings, rooms of illusion and the famous Great Maze of Puzzling World have baffled brains and challenged perceptions of reality!

Story

Wanaka’s Puzzling World is an iconic, world-unique attraction that since 1973 has been fascinating people of all ages keen to engage in a fun, challenging and sensory experience.
On entering the Puzzle Centre where dozens of puzzles await the curious and where food & drink from the well-stocked Café can be enjoyed is a great prelude to taking on the world famous Great Maze.
Encouraging problem solving, exercise and fun we invented a format with over-bridges and underpasses to create the world’s first 3-Dimensional Maze.
If your mind isn’t boggled, visiting Puzzling World’s Illusion Rooms is sure to. From a huge collection of holograms, a room where famous faces seem to follow you, one where you appear to shrink or grow, another where objects glide uphill and a sun-filled gallery of illusionary sculptures, these incredible rooms are designed to challenge reality!
