Passing through, stopping for a rest. The lady behind the counter was really friendly and helpful going out of her way to accommodate our request that wasn't on the menu. She did warn us their toasties are huge and they were, but yummy + flat white coffees were excellent. Very clean toilets finished off a relaxing time watching huge logging & container trucks trundle through town. We'll stop here again.
The go to place to eat is Midori Sushi! They have the best sushi in the Waikato region, totally recommend! The place to eat however, it needs a whole makeover. It's all dated and theres alot of stalls that are abandoned and there is mold on the concrete beams. Toilets were dirty.
Bit old and food choice is okay. Sushi place had only 2 vegetarian sushi left and coffee was good but food looked old and stale. Indian place did a quick biryani for us for cold and rainy meal. Parking was easily found and it had toilets.
Stopped for a quick bite to eat driving from the coromandel to Wellington and discovered Midori Sushi. What an unexpected pleasure. The best sushi ever.
Haven't been here in a long time since I was a kid but when we went on the weekend only the Indian and Cafe was open. Food came out quick : was hoping to taste the Thai food!
I always stop here for a good hot chocolate or coffee. Fabulous food choices and good service. Have a catch up with Nana Lou.
Nana Lou's Cafe totally exceeded expectations this week. Had a great coffee even have oat milk as an option and a delicious BLAT with fries Watties tomato sauce would have earnt an extra star. Highly recommended when you are passing through Putaruru!
Amazing place to eat food and atmosphere was awesome.and right next door is a water park for the kids
Haven't been here for some time, but it was great. Good company as well.
It was closed, however we were impressed by how clean the area was. Next time we go through Putaruru we shall dine there with pleasure.
