We cannot recommend Punga Lodge enough. From the moment we arrived, Dyan, Rob and their sweet dog Spud made us feel like we had come home to long-lost family. Every detail of the lodge is infused with their warmth, care, and genuine love for their guests, and it’s obvious they give their heart and soul to this place.nnDyan is not only one of the most gracious and attentive hosts you could imagine, but she is also literally the best baker in the world. We are still dreaming about her desserts. The stay itself was gorgeous, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches that made every moment special. Plus, the location is unbeatable.nnSpud, their adorable dog, became my instant best friend, and we miss him dearly!nnWe left Punga Lodge feeling like we were leaving family behind. If you are looking for a place where every corner exudes warmth, kindness, and unforgettable hospitality, this is it. Thank you, Dyan and family, for creating a magical experience that we will cherish forever.nnLove,nKatie & Nicky
What an excellent experience!! Punga lodge is an ideally placed getaway on Wahieke island close to all the action. The beach is beautiful and only a three minute walk away and you can catch a bus or walk to the main strip of Oneroa.nAs for the lodge itself, Dyan and Rob made our stay so lovely we even stayed an extra night longer! The cleanliness was top notch and the views from the balcony with our freshly delivered breakfast just the perfect way to start our day. As a bonus, Dyan is a fantastic baker and even organises an afternoon tea for all guests that gets sent up to your room.nWe truly couldn’t recommend Punga Lodge highly enough and will definitely be back on our next trip to Auckland.nThanks Dyan and Rob!!
Simply perfect!nOur stay was absolutely wonderful. The hosts, Diane and Robin, were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. The breakfasts and afternoon snacks were also excellent.nThe place itself is charming and very well located, just next to the beach and close to the town center.nWe would be delighted to come back again!
The rooms are functional and arguably need a little TLC but they were clean, neat, comfortable and well located. The hostess, Di, goes out of her way to make patrons comfortable and well fed with freshly backed cakes and cookies for afternoon tea and a lovely breakfast with muffins - don't forget the muffins, they are fresh and loaded with berries.nA true gem.
What a lovely experience. The hosts are so warm and kind. And really good breakfast and afternoon tea. It feels like home with the smell of baking coming from the kitchen. Cheers.nGabriel & Melissa
