Post Office Public House

Popped into post office bar on my first night in New Zealand 1st of August and I did not regret it. Had the most incredible feed and cocktail for happy hour! The service was timely and the atmosphere was exhilarating with the NRL in the background!nWould highly recommend their food and cocktails if you're in need of a good pick me up!

Quietly tucked away in the backstreets, this little pub kicks goals... The meals are 7 stars plus. Dont let the tucked away in the backstreet vibe hold you back...nnIts pretty awesome! We were recommended this cute pub on the corner for dinner by our hotel near the airport and were each given 'postcards' for a 10% discount on drinks. Driving in at first thought was, this looks a cold place in the hope they had a fire, which there was, a small gas one in the centre of the room that somewhat failed to heat the size of the beautiful large space. Outdoor heaters provided for those who wished to sit outside. We were promptly served a few tables away from the fire and our waitress noticed we were cold and offered blankets while we waited. The menus had a cute envelope touch to them that had me singing the postman pat theme song. Food was delicious and generous portions. Pays to read menu fully as my mum ordered a lamb pizza and hadn't read chilli flakes in the ingredients which made for a very spicy meal! Onion bhaji's were the best I've ever had! Toilets were decorated in retro memorabilia. Overall a pleasant dining experience.

I really like that atmosphere because it’s pretty calm and relaxing for me after a hectic day at the work. I do get here but I need ,nlow carbs beer as well as feta thi Curry my favourite.

Reallyoved that they leaned into their theme, it was overall very cute. Food was tasty and we had troubles finishing our portions because they were good sized.
