Lovely room. I would have liked to see a recycle bin available and perhaps access to cast to the TV as only standard channels were available.
It was a very pleasant stay. The rooms were well kept, comfortable and spacious.nnThe service from the reception staff was fantastic. They really made me feel like I was an important guest.
Was in town for business. Very comfortable bed and room, spotlessly clean and pleasant service. Highly recommended.
I am not generally one to complain however I didn't have the best experience staying here whilst travelling for business. I will be seeking alternative hotel accomadation in the fiture. I arrived Sunday evening, paid $219 for a deluxe room. As I had travelled from a fair distance to get to Gisborne I chose a hotel as I needed to wash a few items and expected a option for how I could order some food. Once settled in I looked for the guest directory but not found one. So instead I went out to get a meal somewhat annoyed.nOn my return I found the laundry satchet so expected there must of been a washing machine somewhere.As I was to tired to go hunting the place for the laundry, decided to leave it until early morning instead.nAt 6am I called reception from the supplied phone , a recorded voice telling me that someone will answer shortly and thanks for my patience, I rang numerous times between 6 & 7am with the same message replaying and no answer from anyone. It was evident this is not a hotel that provides any after hrs service. My call was answered at 7am and my request for further hot drink satchets was quickly actioned. During this time I also tried to send out important customer emails on my laptop, despite being connected correctly to the hotel WiFi , the connection was extremely poor and I was unable to send what I needed.nnOn check out I questioned the reception lady and another lady at the counter about the above. I was told there is a guest laundry and a 24 hr service is available for its use.I was also told the guest manuals had been removed to be updated, the phone wasn't answered as obviously no one is physically available outside the hrs of 9pm - 7am. She showed me a mobile phone number on a stand that she pulled out from behind the reception desk. Saying that this was a number I could of rung. Like was I expected to go down to the reception desk myself rummaging around to find the numbe? Would ,of been helpful on check in for the Receptionist to tell me all of this. Would of saved alot of frustration.nNo TV on demand either to watch.nThese so called explanations /excuses were of no help at all. A apology was not even offered. Just numerous times I heard how the directories were removed as being updated. It would of been better if they had at least kept the old directories in the rooms still.nI have never stayed in a hotel before where there was no information available what so ever.nVery poor for a hotel.
Lovely place to stay, good location, fantastic rooms everything we need was there, warm and very clean.
