The $8 burgers + drink are still a solid deal. Happy with my chicken one. Service is fine. Would love a working lock in the women's bathroom. All in all a good time.

I booked for Valentines day, first time to dine here and I can tell you..food is amazing, fresh and delicious! Great hospitality and service. I recommend booking a table as the resto is small and it gets full quickly.

Located in busy Kingsland, went in and got no serviceZ helped ourselves to seat down, still no service. Food ok, nice to try new places. After we ordered everything was nice

The food on game day was decent, however the buttermilk chicken with side slaw actually had only a tablespoon’s worth of slaw thrown under the meat. Drinks were exceptionally expensive, with Red Bull vodka priced at $12.50 each for 250ml short glasses and Heineken at $9/bottle. The worst part though was the extremely disgusting bathrooms and long-term lack of care, as the photos show. The only standout was our server: no one had name tags on but she had a hummingbird/Mockingjay necklace on and was extremely kind and onto-it; other staff kept just trying to clear our drink/water glasses without asking if we were done even as I was holding mine in my hand.

We had booked elsewhere in Kingsland group of 10 to find it closed on arrival with no notification however were made very welcome and more than well accommodated at The Portland at the last minute which truly saved the day as many of us had travelled to gather for lunch and beverages. Not only was the service exceptional especially when a few very professional and efficient staff on as it was quiet but they coped faultlessly and as we are also from a hospitality background appreciated the situation. Nevertheless the menu, beverage options and pricing were outstanding, all meals served were fresh, hot and beautifully presented. Thank you so much for saving the day, we will be back again and will recommend your quality, relaxed and edgy dining establishment to all our friends.

Love the live music and vibe of this place. Cocktails are on point Came on a Tuesday night. We only ate fries. I’ve eaten here before with a group of 4 people last year and loved the food. Really simple food but made to perfection. Good portions. Good service too.

This place is great and an absolute favourite! Great vibes from the entrance all the way to the outdoor area! Drinks are good and though we haven't eaten here we definitely will next time cause the food looks and smells amazing! Also a great vibe when they have a lovely band playing!

Catch-up with a friend here. We both had burgers and a beer. Tasty burger. Like the layout and space. Because my friend had brought her dog, we had to sit in the area out back which is technically outside but covered this time and considered a smoking area. A small nitpick was that unfortunately people were smoking constantly at both tables near us. I got home smelling of cigarette smoke. A bit more ventilation when covered would be good.

Great place! Very funky, has a indoor seated area for both non smoking and smoking with an addition of outside seating for summer. You will be nice and warm in winter as they have a heating system for the smoking areas. If the bands to loud down stairs and you want to escape, there's a quaint upstairs area where you can still chill and chat with friends. Food came out extremely fast was about a 5min wait time for burgers and fries. They offer table services for both drinks and food. Staff were friendly and warm. Overall recommend it for after work drinks or a quick bite and drink at the end of the day.
