I understand that you are training staff but it is incredibly unreasonable to expect us to pay $15.50 for a poorly made cold plate ice cream. The staff was being trained in front of me while making my ice cream. She did not mix it up correctly and did not roll it correctly either, it was a mess and just looked like a pile of normal ice cream. I have been here 3 times and never has it been served so badly. I had no idea how the person training her thought that was acceptable to serve to me. I have been here before so I was really looking forward to it, but the quality of the cold plate ice cream was so disappointing compared to other times for the same price.
Yum yum yum! We are visiting Tauranga from out of town and this is a must visit! Absolutely delicious, decadent and the service was fantastic. It was just a random Tuesday night when we went, but the store was absolutely pumping and after trying it and seeing what they created, you can see why. Highly recommend. 10/10. Polar Dessert Bars should be global, so good!
Stopped by after lunch and all three of us got their ‘Cold Plate’ we got two Nah yea Nutella and one build your own Vanilla base, strawberry, Mango and Mango Sauce we all very much enjoyed our sweet treat. Probably the best rolled ice cream we’ve had so far in NZ. I added banana to mine which I loved. Recommend giving them a go as they’re also open late night. Will be back when in Tauranga to give their other options a go.
SO DELICIOUS!! The waffle was amazing, so fluffy and great portion size. The ice creams were really good and a good portion. Can really see why they are so popular. The shop does get quite crowded when busy but staff seem to work through the rush really efficiently.
Came in tonight with my partner and got cold plate ice cream base as vanilla ingredients as strawberry and blueberry and topping as mango … it was one of the best ice cream we ever had…. Was super yummy.. i really appreciate how amazing katelyn B was.. got this name as of our order docket even tho the place was busy .. had few dining people sitting there…. This lovely staff member straight away acknowledged us and smiled at us even tho she was busy … gave us enough time to figure out what we want and was super amazing at taking order and confirming it… it was so good to see how lovely her customer service skills were and was great at her job… she prepared our order in few minutes and also managed to look after other customers at the same time… she smiled and gave us our order and when we looked back in the shop… she was quickly clearing tables and cleaning the tables for other customers….. such a great staff member such a gem in the team… surely deserves a pay rise.. keep doing the awesome job and will be back again…
