This place is amazing with 'bring back memories' feels. The food is delightful with good old family size servings..you won't leave hungry. Best ever NY cheese cake I have ever tasted. I definitely recommend.
Had read some good reviews so we decided to go and try it out. Service was friendly and waiters attentive. Now for someone who is allergic to shellfish there was plenty to choose from on the menu. Ordered the Coco Sole and Flounder and couldn't fault. Dessert just topped off a great night out. Definitely recommend Food: 5/5
Without doubt one of the best kaimoana restaurants I have ever eaten in. Service was very very good and the restaurant was very different but fun. The memorabilia in the entrance was very quirky but fun and even brought back some old horror memories primary school dentist drill We had a really awesome time I had the Fish pie
What a lovely meal for a month anniversary with my partner! The classic design and the collection was stunning. The fish of the day surprised us, especially the pink colour sauce. Everything just so right, thanks for the friendly staff. We definitely will come back.
Amazing place to have great, delicious seafood dishes. Staff were friendly and accomodating. The mains meal portions are exact and are a delight. The came with sides which complimented well the dish. Portions are large and good for sharing. Ambiance of the place is lovely and different, showcasing memoribilia by thr counter making a hidden gem of location to enjoy excellent food and drinks with loved ones. It’a a place one can definitely keep coming back to. *picture shown is Fish Fillet, yellowfish tunasteak and dessert of Creme brulee*
Enjoyed lovely meal at Plato last night - we all had the fish pie with plenty of beautiful fish - lovely mash and generous serving. So tasty. Enjoyed desserts after which again were beautiful and good size. Thank you Plato - friendly and efficient staff also made gif a lovely experience
A gem of a restaurant in Dunedin! They’re very proud of their kiwi seafood, and it shows! Would recommend trying at some point of your stay in Dunedin.
Plato was a great surprise! Tipical New Zealand cuisine with contaminations from Asia and Europe, with flavors and spices perfectly balanced. Strongly recommended!

My Son's 21st Birthday Family celebration. We were so well looked after and the food was delicious with many options. Only thought was that the generous portions could be smaller. The food was so good it we did not want to leave any behind so ended up with some to take home. Such an iconic restaurant that always lives up to its fantastic reputation. Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Fantastic vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options.
