First time staying over at National Park, and we loved our stay at Plateau Lodge. Very friendly, nice and warm studio pod, loved the hot bath on the private deck and warm fire in the communal lounge. Would definitely stay again.
-Wifi didnt work most of the time in our pod.n-No tidying up in our 3 night stay. Not even the tiny trash can was emptied, had to to that myself.n-Tiny sink, terrible to to dishes!n-Towels didnt dry in 24h! A lot of condensation! Bathroom never fully dryed because of condensation. ‼Definitely a mold problem‼n-Matress was extremely uncomfortable!nWould not recommenx staying here.nPrice is not justified!!
Great two nights spent here while doing Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Our bunk-room was very clean and comfortable and included a sink which was nice. Kitchen, showers, and toilets were very clean and spacious.
DON'T STAY HERE! YOUR HEALTH WILL BE AT RISK. The rooms are old shipping containers rebuilt to be rooms. It has no ventilation so condensation forms during the night and everything is damp in the morning and mold has begun to grow on the walls. The firealarm is placed just a few cm from the wall so if a fire breaks out the alarm won't go off until it's too late. The health and safety concerns aside, it's really no better than living in a camper van. The location is great but there are other hotels in the area, stay in one of those.nnAddition in response to owners comment: I want to note that the hotel doesn't provide any information about opening windows or settings on the AC. And the mold problem show we ware not the first guests with a damp room
Beautiful location, nearby a nice pub!nThe room was not that spacious, but it was more than enough for the four of us. We also really enjoyed the shower
