Very loud & leery. Even when empty the music is so loud it's uncomfortable to be there - cool for late night dancing but not grabbing a pint on the way home from work. the decor is also shabby. Seems like the kind of place suited & booted punters pour into after flashy cocktails by the harbour to 'club'. I imagine they need to hose the place down Sat & Sun mornings. I feel for the staff - they are really nice and seem to have great camaraderie - considering the price of drinks I hope they are well paid.
Great location in the middle of the busy K road. Great customer service and people enjoying the moments inside the bar. Clean and sanitized. Will come back again.
Calendar girls has gone downhill over the years. Staff is not very friendly, wouldn't honor my voucher for free entry at the door. Price of drinks $5 for a small glass of coke seems excessive. Girls not even stripping fully, just topless.
Quick and easy Pokies paying. Is the Calendar Girls a separate business?
Great service, friendly staff, food was tasty with awesome garnishes that complemented the food well, the food came out quite fast after ordering as well which was awesome!!
Good location, good pokies which are open till around 2am on occassions over been there. Staff only one of which I've seen seem relatively friendly albeit very quiet so can come across somewhat standoffish. Gaming room has a feeling of being small but it's pretty standard with 18 machines. Good selection of games with 3 or 4 random jackpots those additional to the machine only jackpots. The other players are all pretty friendly, encountered the odd couple of people who attempted to peddle to me, however it would be almost impossible to go to any pub/club early hours of the morning & there not be peddling going on & if you disagree... Sorry but you're likely going blind! Gets very busy on Friday/Saturday nights. Good atmosphere & TVs for watching sport around the pub which provides coverage of all big sporting events. Overall good place, staff & people, will definitely be going back.
Probably the only sports bar in the country that doesn’t allow cash out. What a joke
They have a new lunch menu, what my friend and I had was terrible. I had the fried chicken wings. The coating was thin and tasteless and the chicken inside was extremely fatty. It came with some sort of chutney... My friend had a steak sandwich, it was terrible, soggy and cheap. The only redeeming feature is the genuinely nice person behind the bar, I'm guessing they were the owner or involved with management.
It is such a warm n cozy place for me and my girlfriend to go to for lunch or after work drinks. The staff is always lovely and the food is just fabulous. I especially love their Chicken Strips and Satay chicken. However this week when I went on Wednesday is was on another level as they had a band playing swinging music and people were dancing their heart out. We loved. Keep it up guys
We were hoping to pop by this venue tonight to watch the all blacks game. It said it was open on google, but when we arrived around 6:30pm the venue was closed. Disappointed that the venue couldn’t update its opening hours.
