To be honest , I actually enjoyed the 1 - and 2 - star reviews because not everyone is pleased, and the response from the owner is great comedy value. I didn't encounter a guy behind the counter either that everyone was talking about.nnThis is the only shop out here, so technically, they'll never be out of business, regardless of what people review.nnSpinach quiche - 6/10nThis was actually quite nice. I just wish it was double the size. For $9, it was like 100gms.nnLasagne - 5.1/10n2 of the sheets were hard af. Mince was like a 50/50 ratio with lentils. Nice try,nthough.nnThe girl who served me was all good, quick service. I saw a review with some girl did eye rolling that made me lmao, so I didn't have any of that. Love the seating area outside. Too.
Very friendly store. Bought some slippers and shorts for my boys. Prices were fair for the quality of their products.
Love that they have the renowned meat pies with other meats such as chicken, and even vegetarian. The sweet pastries are marked if they are made in-house and they truly taste delicious. The space is small especially if it’s a busy day with tourists. Definitely get a meat pie if you haven’t had one before.
We had a picnic at Piha. I brought the best homemade bread I've ever tasted from Piha Store yesterday. Their sourdough is sublime. Also got a veggie pie and homemade free range pork pie for my Dad. Lovely store, awesome service and fantastic food. We have been going to Piha since we were children and now have our own kids. Piha Store had everything we needed and I was thrilled to see their homemade offerings. Awesome thank you. Victoria
Best muffins around. Today is mixed berry and they are sooooo good. Yesterday, coconut, cranberry and pineapple, a definite favourite . Matched with an AllPress coffee it’s a yum holiday breakfast. Highly recommend
