The Stott Family Bach, built by Granddad Keller in the 50s and has been owned by members of the family ever since.

Story

Picnic Bay Bach is located in Mangawhai Heads, and is an easy commute just 1hr 15 mins north of the Auckland Harbour bridge.

The bach has possibly the best location in Mangawahi Heads and over looks the lovely Picnic Bay, this bay is just inside the entrance of the estuary and is a popular beach for young families (the cover photo displays this view)

The bach was built in the 1950s by Grandad Keller and after his death was purchased by his eldest daughter Gael and her family. The bach remains a traditional family bach to this day with very little changes to the original design.

A true traditional Kiwi Bach, if you are looking for Sky TV, Wi-Fi or a dishwasher then look away now....... the beach is on your doorstep so entertainment a plenty, it does have Freeview so mum and dad can watch the news, but if you need to watch the game the local pub is your best beat, dad cooks on the BBQ and kids do the dishes......mum can drink the wine and direct the troops off the beach and through the foot bath to wash off at least some of the sand....... but don't worry no carpet downstairs.
