Story

Based Matamata, Pegasus Lodge specialise in the Breaking-In and Starting of all young horses and ponies from Pleasure and Sport horses through to Racehorses.
With over 20 years experience in the Sporting and Racing Industry we are well placed to give your horse or pony the best possible education required to prepare them for their chosen career.
Racehorses finish their breaking process at the Matamata Racing Club training centre, and can be taken right through to Jumpouts prior to heading to their chosen trainer.
Ponies and Sporthorses are given a good education and can be taken out to Pony Clubs or local training areas, by arrangement, to gain more experience.
We have access to an equine swimming pool for fitness and/or rehabilitation exercise and also have an onsite experienced Equissage & Therapy person.
