Patrisha's Original Pies

I'm not a fan of pies but have to say their pies are good. Even better are their Crumbles and desserts!!!

We were out there yesterday. And came across this beautiful pie shop. They sold out of my favourite pie. Steak and mushroom. And got the steak pie. The pastry was beautiful. I loved the filling but would like a bit more steak in my pie. I got a medium pie. And my husband got the mince pie. The flavours on the menu board was extensive . Wishing you all the best. We have sampled many pies across the North and South Island during our travels. The pies here were ok but not the best I’ve ever had. We went for the egg and bacon and chicken pie. The bacon was not the best and very chewy and the egg was over dry. The chicken pie was also disappointing with the chicken seeming to be low quality and gristly. I don’t like giving bad reviews but I don’t feel we got the best pies on our visit. We will try again and definitely try the cakes next time.

I so wanted this to be a great pie but sadly it was overall below average. The chicken filling was poor and lacking chicken. The pastry was good however. It's all about the quality of ingredients and it might be a one off or the owners are cutting costs. Be warned, you will lose customers, if it's the latter.

I am a huge fan of Patricia's Chicken Curry Pie, Apple Pie & Apricot Pie. The delicious flavors, perfect pastry & generous, quality fillings make for a real treat. The owner & staff are also so lovely.

One of the best pie shops in Wellington. Great value for money and great variety. I like that these pies have generous flavourful filling which is not too liquid, not too firm, but is just right. The pastry is well-baked through and not too oily. Soul kitchen-style desserts are very good too. Just to mention, we moved to Kapiti but keep coming to grab a few Patrisha's pies and put them in the freezer.

The pies are amazing. Great selection of fillings and great pastry. I had a delicious, hot steak and kidney. The curried chicken is apparently fantastic and you can get pies for the freezer too.

Worst pie I've ever had! I bought a large steak mushroom pie for $7. Only 1 or 2 small steaks and 3 middle size mushroom in it. Very disappointed!

The Supa Dupa is delicious great pastry. Quick service, a regular go-to place for sure

There really isn't anything positive to say, this one was edible, the one I had a few years ago was pretty much entirely filled with a giant ball of raw mince that obviously hadn't been broken up properly. The butter chicken one that I bought for someone else this time apparently had a solitary piece of chicken.
