Their roast beef French dip sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was dripping with beef gravy and filled up with roast beef which was juicy and flavourful. They were out of the baguette so they were kind enough to offer it in a brioche bun which was equally good. We also got the cubano which was delicious as well and we got some pastrami to go which made for a great mid night snack. Pastrami was smoky, peppery and so flavourful. Would get the Reuben next time. Wish they had a bigger space.
Had the mocha, and two toasties.. so good.nHard ro say which of any if the three was better. If it's full, give it 10-15 mins to get a seat.
The best grilled sandwiches I have ever had. My favourites are Ruben and Patty Melt. The chips and pickles next to it are a great side! I come here every few weeks. Love this place! Keep it up guys!! Your sandwiches are divine!nnStaff is friendly and I like how they all wear uniforms. Very cool!
Well I've died and gone to heaven. I was over from AU for work for 2 weeks and think I must have dined 5 or 6 times. Omg this is too die for. I do believe they need to reorder the menu. Cuban at the top, French Dip next and then Rueben. Also get the waffle doughnut before it's sold out. I missed out twice . Staff super friendly and super funky eat in when you watch the crew produce their brilliance. I will defo be back!
Ordered the Cuban, Ruben, BAT and two sweet items, Apple fritter and Waffle donut and they were bloody delicious. The ingredients were fresh and high quality. My favourite food was their pastrami, it was flavorful and cooked to perfection.nnThe staff were welcoming and friendly. I loved how they all wore uniforms, I thought it added to the overall atmosphere of being a New York deli but in New Zealand in its own unique way.nnOverall I highly recommend Pastrami and Rye, they offered delicious sandwiches and sweets combined with their awesome staff and welcoming atmosphere.nn5 Stars
