Just a word of warning, the portions are enormous! Couldn’t finish the meals. Had to take them home. Portions are priced well. Loved the curly fries. Heaps of tables, no need for reservations but recommended for larger groups.
I’ve noticed the quality and standards at Denny’s has declined over the years. The restaurant wasn’t busy yesterday 03/11/2025, but the service was still friendly and attentive it just took a little longer than expected to place second order.nnAs for the food, the banana fritter was disappointing milkshake yum. The banana inside was cold, which made me think it hadn’t been fully cooked or properly heated. Usually, the banana should be warm and soft after being deep-fried or microwaved.nnOverall, good service but the food quality wasn’t up to their old standard.nnWe were seated at booth and the table was not wiped down properly the worker also just dusted off the food crumbs etc as we were about to sit.
I love this place. Absolute tradition for my family and I, whenever we're in Auckland to head to Denny's.nnOpen 24/7 we've been there at all times. From 5AM, 12PM, 12AM. You name it. Love their breakfast menu, had there dinner menu and their juices.nnAlways kind staff and banger food. Most of my relatives say other Denny's in Auck are better. But this one just makes my family and I nostalgic.

It’s nothing overly fancy, but everything tasted good and hit the spot, especially for a late-night or post-party feed.nnDessert was the cherry on top – we got the Chocolate Hot Fudge Churros Sundae, Hot Fudge Cake, Banana Split, and a single Sundae. Opportunity for BIG improvement!!!nHad dinner with the whole family.nWaited for the food over 45 minutes and that is after we asked…nI can see something had gone wrong with our order either deleted by mistake or was given to another table, who knows. But telling us “your food is coming” when it was missed, is lying. If I was told the real truth and offered an apology, I would have accepted and wont write this review.nNo apology…no gesture of apology… I expected better from Denny’s.nThen, because the kitchen staff rushing the order, the quality of the food reflected that. Pork ribs is absolutely dry taste like deep fried item from a week ago!. Lamb steak tastes blend. Some fries were cold, others are extremely burning.
