This private, world-class retreat offers a safe, clean, green refuge and is nestled amongst some of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in the world, including seven hectares of gardens, lavish accommodation and extensive recreational facilities spanning along a sweeping coastline.

Tarapunga is an exciting luxury residence, finished to the highest standard, which ensures every indulgence is catered for. Contemporary interiors and artwork, home theatre, gymnasium and gourmet kitchens provide in-home recreation, while outdoor the 17m infinity heated pool and spa, sauna and large entertaining decks capture the astounding views across the Bay of Islands.

The property offers both tennis and badminton courts, a petanque area, golf putting and driving ranges and also comes complete with access to a secluded beach with private deep-water boat mooring, allowing access to world class swimming, fishing, diving or cruising to enjoy dolphin or whale watching.

The renowned Paroa Bay is just over three hours drive from Auckland or 40 minutes drive from Kerikeri airport, whilst the historic, romantic village of Russell is just 10 minutes away. Great meal. The view is amazing and we were there on a rainy overcast day. We made our reservation earlier in the week as we were sailing around the bay of islands. They came down to beach and picked us up and drive us up to restaurant it was very nice. Attached pictures of the food which was great and wine paired nicely.
Wonderful experience. The view is breathtaking, the staff friendly and attentive, high quality wine and a menu that looked so good it was difficult to choose. The risotto was one of the nicest I’ve ever had.
Just can't say enough about our winery lunch at Paroa Bay. Food, service and the view were all outstanding. Gourmand, truly!

Went to the sage restaurant for a wine tasting. I personally do not like wine that much but the others absolutely loved it. All the wines were perfect. I ordered an espresso martini as the cocktail of the day. I loved it. Food was delicious and the view was so lovely. The service was fantastic.Service: 5/5

Easily 5 stars!! I really can't fault anything! Amazing scenery, service and food!! The staff were incredibly attentive while still being laidback which created a relaxing vibe. We had the fish pate, pork belly, crayfish & gin salad and fresh snapper for main, Soooo delicious!. The only criticism would be the portion of crayfish was really rather small other than that a perfect romantic lunch! We finished with the quark dessert which was prefect not too sweet, I could eat it again right now!
I went to this winery during my Northland trip. The cellar door/restaurant is a bit of a drive from the main town, but definitely worth it. We wanted to dine, but there were no tables available. Would recommend a booking over phone here! However, the restaurant host was very kind and I did do a wine tasting which was very interesting. The other staff also had some good customer service skills. They have some really good wines. Went down to vineyard and winery too, was nice and well maintained. The view from the restaurant is amazing too! Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again during my next trip to Russell! Cheers
Lovely winery, lovely setting with stunning views. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely eat here again.
