Story

Bay of Islands Holiday Homes was established in 2005 and has been operating in the immediate Russell area, we are specialists in Holiday Home Rentals in Russell. We strive to offer a professional friendly service to enable guests to source and secure their specific holiday home by working with them and the property owners.

We provide a selection of QUALMARK endorsed, Executive/Luxury, Family Accommodation options that cater for those who seek - PEACE OF MIND AT HOLIDAY TIME.

BOIHH manages all deposit’s and balance payment’s via a secure online booking engine which ensures guests funds as safe. We hold all guests money in a dedicated Trust Account until after the booking, the monies are then forwarded to the property owner.

If a guest cancels the booking they are refunded their money from the Trust Account - this refund is governed by our Terms & Conditions of Rental. A copy of these T&C’s are available on our website http://www.boiholidays.co.nz

In the past there has always been a risk when booking a private holiday home for short term rental, as it is difficult to be sure of what guests will get. Private owners generally do not hold funds from guests in Trust Accounts, often the funds have been used prior to the booking taking place, making refunds very complicated and frustrating for guests. It is not safe to send money by cheque or direct credit to private owners directly unless you are sure you will get a refund if required.

Payment by credit card with BOIHH gives guests and property owners protection. We also follow the strict protocol for credit card management as set in place by our provider Direct Payment Solutions.

Over the past 25 years Lesley and Barry have travelled for pleasure and business to many places around the world, however for them the Bay of Islands, New Zealand, is home.

Lesley comes from a background of sales, marketing and real estate. Barry is a qualified joiner/carpenter and has worked in the building industry for over 40 years of which 20 plus years have been at a senior management level.

For 4 years Lesley and Barry jointly managed a luxury lodge in Russell, where the guests comfort, needs and privacy was paramount.

We are honest, reliable, and enthusiastic and wish guests and property owners to experience the Bay of Islands at its best. We offer a broad range of skills, including:
