We had a great day, having now been there though, next time would take a picnic blanket, and plenty of food and drinks and make a real day of it.nOthers had hired the bbq’s and clearly had it sorted and new what they we doing - full set ups to spend the day there.nnStill though, we were there on a sunny as day, and lasted 5 hours with swimming, slides and ice creams.nThe two slides were great, enough to give a good thrill, but not to much.nnNoticed on the way out we could have gotten stamped and gone out for lunch and then come back in again.
Friendly staff and well maintain facilities. Booked private spa which was great for autistic adults and they get discounts also which is bonus. Some reviews says it needs servicing or upgrades but to me as long as facilities are maintained and staff is doing there jobs I'll be bringing my kids back here again.
After reading some of the reviews here we decided to take the risk, travel four hours, and have my son’s 11th birthday here. We hired a marquee and the bbq for one hour.nnAre the slides in need of a clean on the outside? Yes. Are there tiles missing in some of the pools? Yes. Did me or the kids care? Hell no! We had an absolute blast! It hasn’t changed much, if at all, since I was a teenager, but it’s still just as much fun. My wife commented that the slides looked like something out of the walking dead nnIf you’re looking for a resort/spa quality swim, this isn’t the place for you. If you’re wanting an action packed fun afternoon for the kids, then this is the spot. The fact you can bring your own food in took the pressure off the entry fee.nnWe left feeling absolutely knackered from a long day of fun. All topped off by really friendly staff, and crystal clear pool water. Highly recommended, we’ll be returning again!
Been coming here all my life this is the spot kids love this place too family friendly love the hot spa always feels so good short drive from Auckland
I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, I don’t think any maintenance has been done on the slides since then… now I take my son there and we have just as much fun as I did when I was a kid with my Dad… I really do hope Auckland Council do some maintenance and prevent a shutdown from serious injury, we no longer have Waiwera as a back up
