Amazing stay, Terry was a great host, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The use of bikes and kayaks for free is also a great bonus. The room was modern spacious and very comfortable, the bed was very good and no issues. The area may have two of the better restaurants, the beach club and the old mill. Very quite location, great for families in the estuary and chilling in the arvo. Would highly recommend this spot!

Paku Lodge was a great place to stay when visiting Tairua recently. Found the apartment met all our needs and was very clean. Enjoyed the sun coming in for the best part of the day which was a bonus. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a pristine, clean place to stay in Tairua,and so reasonably priced

Great place in Tairua overlooking Pauanui and the sunset. Clean, large and well furnished room with a small balcony. Everything one needs for a comfortable stay: fridge, microwave, coffee plunger, two elements hot plates. Not serviced! Free bikes and kayaks. If you can bring your own helmet as it took me a while to find one that fitted me and was in reasonably condition. Grateful thought there was a choice

Very relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff! Beach is right across the road and it’s nice and tame so great for families. Room was tidy and even had air conditioning. My partner and I only stayed 1 night but we will definitely be coming back for a weekend sometime!Rooms: 5/5

Paku Lodge is in the most beautiful location,it overlooks the sparkling sea which is safe to swim in at any tide. Friendly helpful staff and great amenities mean you can do your laundry or enjoy a bbq when you need to. Absolutely recommend for anyone, couples, singles and families. Great location with stunning views. Well appointed apartment, rooms were clean, beds were comfy and kitchen well equipped. Staff were really nice and we enjoyed our stay. Definitely come back again ...next time in summer.
