Highly recommended to visitors like me : Few times visiting at the past 3 years. Fresh Vege always and great stock management compare to some of the P n save such like Queenstown one has rotten fruit always At here, Parkings are so easy too. I believe all staff been working hard for Pak’n save Dunedin, thank you team.
Just had the absolute worst experience here. Super sad honestly, I thought people who worked in customer service would actually care about their customers. I get that everyone has their bad days, but that was seriously disgusting. Our truck was idling outside of the building, in the taxi section, very briefly whilst waiting for our 90 year old grandma to come outside. Quickly we realised she had gotten herself lost inside, and rather than having an ounce of grace or kindness, the staff verbally vomited on us to move our vehicle as it was “in the way of taxis” there wasn’t a single taxi present, and everyone could get past without an issue. We moved our ute anyway, as security was threatened to be called on us, and upon going inside to ask for assistance for looking for our elderly Grandma - we got the poorest effort I’ve ever seen. For someone who has worked within the CS sector for many years - this was just sad to see. Everyone rolled their eyes and muttered under their breath, not a single person showed any compassion or offered to help. But clearly showed their impatience and rude character. I know a supermarket isn’t where you would go for top notch customer service - but even just the bare minimum would have been appreciated. I really hope you guys can read this and learn from it & hopefully treat others with kindness in future. It costs nothing!
I got my bag searched today by staff. I don't have a problem with this as im not a thief. I have worked in security and its not lawful for supermarket staff or security to bag search a customer. Only police have the legal right to search a customer.
Check expiry date on meat products due to short dated products on shelves. Products not on shelves but countdown has it in stock & prices are not always correct Shop at own risk as is a gamble.
This is my regular supermarket but no more. I’m tired of being treated like a shoplifter by jumped up rude teenage staff. Tired of taking my life in my hands in your dodgy car park and tired of being leered at by the idle trolley collectors, cluttering up the only safe access path to the store. Your cheaper prices are a marketing ploy. No cheaper than other Dunedin supermarkets. Sort out some proper security and shoplifting prevention measures and your staff wouldn’t have to harass the paying customers. Having self checkouts and ‘shop n go’ is pointless when their convenience is hampered by a lack of store security that requires you accuse innocent customers of shoplifting. Having recently moved from CHCH where my regular shops were undertaken at the Northlands or Hornby store and occasionally Morehouse Ave I can say that the South Dunedin store is a blight on the Pak n Save brand. Needs new management.
I Luv the cheap deals, the staff r friendly, always available if u need them. Yes, smetimes it's busy but u got a choice of going 2 the checkouts or serving yaself which I always do There is a ATM inside. Plenty of parking. It is a gr8 Place 2 go do ur shopping!
On Saturday I bought a jar of olives. Yesterday I opened them to find they had already been opened and were covered in White spots. Today I took them back to Pak n Save and they refused to exchange them as I did not have a receipt. I don’t usually take a receipt. My mistake. I spend on average $200-$250 a week at Pak nSave with extras at New World. Will never support this business again. In the past I have had rotten meat, and a long black hair in a meat pack. I bought some pita pockets and got them home to find they were mouldy.
Busy place but pretty quick to get through check out on a Saturday morning. Great prices on the 1kg cheese!
Last straw with them rotten vegetables, old grey looking meat, price tags often wrong and prices creeping up every visit, no deli, stuff is never in stock, seafood section reeks of ammonia, ladders and boxes strewn through the aisles ALWAYS.
Bought pack.of 4 Date Scones Bakery.Usually lovely but not yesterday.Very Dry.Would have returned them but lost receipt.Dont buy Fish there any more Too Expensive Use Fresh Fish Shop Musselborough.
