We recently stayed at the Paihia Pacific Resort Hotel for two nights with our family, including two kids, and had an absolutely delightful experience.nUpon arrival, the gentleman at the reception welcomed us warmly and surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade from a Premier to a Superior Queen Room at no additional cost.nOur room was well-equipped, featuring complimentary coffee and tea bar, a convenient mini-fridge, a large LED TV, and an efficient air conditioning system that kept the room perfectly cool. The housekeeping service was excellent, ensuring everything was clean and comfortable.nThe continental breakfast, included in our stay, was another highlight. The lady managing the breakfast area was exceptionally kind and attentive, making sure all guests had access to a variety of fresh and delicious breakfast options.nThe hotel offers ample parking space, so we never had to worry about finding a spot. The kids especially loved the swimming pool, which became their favorite part of the stay!nAdditionally, the hotel's location is fantastic—just a short walk to Paihia Beach and Williams Road, where you can find great dining and shopping options.nOverall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our kids loved every moment, and we highly recommend it, especially for families traveling with children.
We stayed here as a family of four on a recent trip to Paihia. The rooms were dated but very clean, spacious and comfortable. There was an added bonus of tea/coffee facilities and a microwave in the room. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to shops, cafes, the waterfront and the centre of town - for a no frills, short stay that’s good for a young family we were very happy with our stay.
Reasonable hotel.nThe rooms we got were on the first floor without an elevator it's a bit difficult for us to take a 23 kg suitcase alone.nThere is no phone in the room, the wifi has very poor reception and disconnects all the time.nThe shower is big and good but not for me, the water outlet is so low that to wash my head I had to bend down a lot I'm 183 cm tall, I was really, really uncomfortablennBreakfast is very very basic.
TERRIBLE hotel experience.n-The walls are paper thin, forcing you to hear everything going on in other roomsn-The toilet is nasty and must of been installed 50 years ago judging by the stainingn-the shower head is so low that unless I wanted to wash my belly button I was forced to be on my kneesn-Your choices for lighting are either 12 lights burning a hole into your brain or nothingn-the WiFi is almost non existent, if you want to reminicse about dial up then you're in luck.n-the view off the balcony of a selection of dirty bathroom windows wasn't really doing it for men-The free breakfast didn't exist apparently, thankfully so after reading other reviewsn-As far as we are aware they dont have a hot tub despite advertising one.n-there's only 1 PowerPoint to service 2 beds with 4 side tables. Which I could overcome but who doesn't honestly expect atleast an extention cord on each side of the beds and I feel like I've been robbed so I deserve to be petty.nnTo sum it up, this would be a great place to smoke crack if that's what youre into. But apart from that, steer clear
It’s sad…nYou will see and old hotel, that has not been updated. The manager or whoever who was at the counter when we stayed there was really doing his best to keep us comfortable, but clearly is a place that needs an update and is trying to save money with really cheap tricks like offering cheap breakfast or including it even though it’s cold continental breakfast or saying that the hot tub is only available on weekendsnTo be honest for the same money you can stay at better hotels around the area..
