I want to give a special thanks to the manager, Alessandra, who was always very helpful and kind. On one occasion, I asked for a blanket, and she brought me two, along with a small heater. She is the best! These little gestures make all the difference during a trip.nnI stayed in both a private room and a shared room, and both are very comfortable. The private room is wonderful and has everything I need for a pleasant stay.nnI highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting New Zealand!
Great hostel with short walking distance to the beach and to Mount Maunganui. The community areas are clean and very open so it's super easy to meet new people. The kitchen is well equipped. Parking at the back of the hostel is spacious and gets locked at night so I felt save leaving my car there. The staff is friendly and the hostel encourages a good sense of community.
I enjoyed my stay here; upon arrival I was shown around and made aware of all the facilities available to me. The communal spaces were accommodating and set-up so that you could easily meet new people. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. As a female, I appreciated being placed in a dorm with other females I booked a 4 bed mixed dorm. For a nights stay I was happy and felt comfortable/safe. The bathroom I used was clean.
Hands down the grossest hostel i’ve ever stayed in. Room smelt absolutely rancid and was boiling hot. They had a super loud party the night I arrived. Ended up leaving early which I never do and was refused a refund - avoid at all costs!
Amazing vibes, and environment with the best staff you can imagine. Since day 1 enjoyable stay with cero problems. I can’t imagine a place in which I can feel more than home like this hostel. The staff always have ideas to do and enjoy like family
