Such a great experience at Pacific coast lodge backpackers. I've been here couple of times.nnThis place is really clean, chill and very comfortable. The staff is so nice. The German receptionist was really helpful, smiling and kind. I recomand this place 100%.
We arrived there and they where so welcoming it was a vibe straight of the bat, it almost felt like home away from home. We stayed 3 nights and everyone staying there where friendly as, rooms where all good staff were amazing. We are definitely coming back next year.nTo the staff keep up the good work you guys are amazing
I want to give a special thanks to the manager, Alessandra, who was always very helpful and kind. On one occasion, I asked for a blanket, and she brought me two, along with a small heater. She is the best! These little gestures make all the difference during a trip.nnI stayed in both a private room and a shared room, and both are very comfortable. The private room is wonderful and has everything I need for a pleasant stay.nnI highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting New Zealand!
A great hostel, with super kitchen facilities, a little walk from the beach and town, but just five minutes on a Blink scooter. Very friendly and hospitable reception staff, although the vigorous hoovering that started just after 9am seemed a little over zealous for my hangover. We had a shared bathroom option for just over 145€, which seemed somewhat top end considering how long we had to wait to use the shower and toilet.
Disappointed… We stayed for a week and were really looking forward to moving here for the summer and looked past the price for the hope of being involved in a social community. The hostel is just another big one with a big group of people. The only interactions we had were a quick hey when passing in the corridor, maybe this is because we had a private room so you don’t interact with people the same as you would in a dorm..nI feel there is a lack of seating to eat food, it was so busy one night that we had to go upstairs and eat in the tv room as the kitchen and outside area was packed. There’s also not enough bathrooms or fridge space for the amount of guests staying there and we never saw any social activities happening as they like to advertise.nSome good things… the reception were helpful & friendly, the place is kept clean throughout the day and Surfboard hire is great for the location.nFavourite part was that it’s close to the skatepark.
