Had a Lunch time deal for 13 dollars. O my the best butter chicken I've had. Was recommend by a friend who kept talking about how good it was. The madras was also high quality, but not as good as the butter chicken. The naan is amazing. I wanted to go a second time it was so good. But unfortunately couldn't make it before flying out.
My wife and I were served by a lovely waitress the owner who made us feel very special. We also appreciated her help choosing which two dishes would match the best, and was she ever right - the most delicious meals we have had in a very long time! And the accompanying naan bread was also the best we had. Altogether a memorable experience! We very much look forward to coming back next time we are in Tauranga. HIghly recommended!!
My Dad loves a good curry & I'd heard good things about Own Madala. We went there tonight for my Dad's birthday & ooohhhh.... wow!!!! Bloody delicious!! Clean, tasty, fresh & delicious food!!! I'll definitely be back to Own Masala. The young chap serving us was very good, friendly, helpful, which also added to our whole experience. So good Vegetarian options: Loads!! This is the best Indian restaurant I've ever visited! I have been to many Indian restaurants and take away shops but this one really surprised me! First and foremost, is food! Portions are pretty large, I was not able to finish the whole bowl of rise, naan bread was very delicious and hot, and curry was amazing. Secondly, table service was surprisingly good for an Indian restaurant, waitress was very professional and friendly. Thirdly, prices I really enjoyed the lunch specials, I think it's a good value for money. Recommend this place.
Once again these guys are the best in the Bay, had curry and chicken tikka last night and beautiful once more. Tikka had Rich seasoning with that beautiful deep orange oil which is flavoursome but not sickly, garnished well.
Went there with a group for a birthday dinner - they were great hosts, we all loved our curries. Super tasty, and satisfying. A huge range on the menu to choose from. This is a very popular and busy place!
Most polite and friendly staff so sweet and willing to go the extra mile I stopped in tnyt wed starving and kitchen was just closed and they looked after me so kindly thanks you are awesome My Masala

Good but staff messes up orders alot but food is so good Naan are crispy and dal is tasty and creamy
First time using this restaurant after our old favourite closed down. This is now our new favourite ! Beautiful tender chicken, spice levels were perfect. Delivery man was super polite and friendly.
