We are New Zealand owned and operated family business regarded by many of our customers as the leading online outdoor store for adventure gear.

Of course if you prefer to shop in store then we would love to see you at our retail showroom, you can find us at 121 Rosedale road, Albany (we are right opposite Fish City and Turners car auctions)

Minus One Million 's This started by me wanting some boots... THEY TRIED TO CANCEL MY REVIEW ON TRUSTPILOT, what does that tell you. Boots were sold as light brown/beige and new butnot even close to baige but staff wouldn't be honest about the colour,,, completely the wrong colour than the advertised oneslightgrey, obviously used, dirtymud and damaged and the sides were wrinkled from use see pictures on google reviews, smelled like gone off feet, factory faulty with blobs of glue so maybe seconds sold as new. Very condescend response, then ignoring by staff and blocked from messaging on Ebay to sort some compensation or return agreement. IF THEY SAY THEY'VE SOLD loads WITH NO COMPLAINTS IN RESPONS, I WANT TO SEE THE EVIDENCE, as they tried to bully my complaint out of existence on trustpilot and made it difficult wasted my time for me to let people know how they treat customers. I wanted these for the snow but now I can't follow up with my plans thanks to inept staff and without proper product monitoring and checking before handover. Do not give these thieves of time and money your money or time.
Recently bought a Vango mattress that was faulty. Emailed Outdoor Action and they dealt with it quickly. They arranged for it to be collected and it was sent to Vango. I then received a full refund. Although it was a shame item was faulty, that wasn’t the fault of Outdoor Action. They handled it perfectly. Great customer service.
I paid for next day delivery as needed the item for a charity event, it was sent by courier, however the person I spoke to when it didn’t show up, tried to blame the post office, really poor service, and the person I spoke to didn’t seem too bothered they had let me down. If you can’t deliver as promised, then don’t promise. Very poor service, won’t be using again
Bought a waterproof keela jacket for £150 from this company, the jacket leaked like a sieve, the first time I wore it, sent it back to them they sent it to keela for testing, they tested it by spraying water on it which is nothing like working outdoors in the rain, they said it was fine but needed reproofing!! So obviously it leaked for them too, It's a brand new jacket worn once how can it need reproofing? They have sent the jacket back to me and have refused a refund, or replacement, so take my advice do not buy anything from this company, just go to Amazon where returning faulty products is no problem. you can check out all my other reviews you will see I am genuine and fair in all my dealings with companies but I will not put up with bad service and poor products. So I have read your response carefully below, can you please answer this question : why would I lie and say the jacket leaked if it did not? If I just wanted a refund I could have just told you it didn't fit and return for a full refund. I have been completely honest and gave you the chance to put things right instead you have insinuated I am lying and refused to rectify this issue
This is by far the best hiking/outside activities shop I know, always get a good bargain, staff very friendly experienced and realyl helpful. Very good camping section hidden away, ask the assistant and they will show you, ask about the bargain rails, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Jewel of a shop in Blackburn. Decent prices an absolutely huge range of outdoor equipment. Most of the stuff is towards the lower priced end of the market - which is fine by me! Don’t go expecting Moncler or Arcteryx etc and their crazy prices. Ski and snowboard guys really know their stuff with a good range of quality gear and not over priced. One of the few places you can get UK made Buffalo out door gear as well - which is great.
I’d like to give 0 stars but sadly I can’t. I purchased a coat online and was emailed that day to advise they had no stock and would issue a refund. 10 days later, no refund and no response to my emails. Utterly disgraceful. Avoid.
Ordered two pairs of Montane lightweight walking trousers on Tuesday evening, they were sent on Wednesday and I'm sitting wearing them now on Thursday afternoon. This is what 5 star service is.
The shop is well stocked and the service and the knowledge is outstanding. The prices are Very good and competitive. Highly recommend a visit.
Went for a look around today, great store. Proper Aladins cave. Family tents have been tough this year, I hope with the closing local mega store Go Outdoors this place goes from strength to strength.
