This little motel is a bit tired with age but the room is clean, warm and comfortable. The manager was very welcoming, real and friendly. The staff in the morning was very friendly. The wifi is strong and fast. The Location is handy to town. I enjoyed my stay.Rooms: 5/5
If your looking for somewhere clean, comfortable and cheap this is the place. We stayed for 5 nights, though the room lacked a modern touch, that did not dissuade us from enjoying our stay. It was a pleasure to return from a day out to a comfy bed, free wifi and air conditioning, a bonus touch was every 2 days we would return to a made bed, fresh towels, refills of coffee etc, something I did not expect. Its super close to all shops, easy to access and if your lucky you might get a visit from the 1 footed duck looking for food. Would definitely stay here again when I visit next time.

Lovely motels, older style but lovely and clean, even has hotplates in the kitchen. Fenced trampoline for the children, complete with ducks and pukekos not on the trampoline. Manager very hospitable. Down side: traffic noise, as only single-glazed windows but, with ear plugs was able to sleep OK.

The family room was just what we needed after a late night Wellington ferry crossing. Spacious room, comfortable beds and modern bathroom with great shower pressure. The rest of room was a little dated but it was clean and tidy. Could hear the occasional truck noise from state highway but didn’t affect our sleep. The beach and shopping Otaki are worth a look, we were pleasantly surprised :
We got caught in the South Island due to Covid and decided to catch the late ferry rather than fly. The family unit was very welcoming at 1:00am, comfortable beds. warm unit. I really liked the retro style of the unit and noticed that the new carpet and furniture was in keeping with its original style. I hope they keep the retro look as they upgrade...I love the wood paneling and having breakfast on the back porch. The bathroom was modern with great shower pressure and the whole unit was meticulously clean and tidy. We will stay again.
Nice motel old style NZ, very clean and comfortable, renovated modern bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to state hwy 1 so some traffic noise, didn't bother us and enjoyed our stay.Rooms: 5/5
Great place to stay and a favorite motel of Bobs Transport Ltd. The units are spacious, clean and well maintained. I love the fluffy towels and crisp sheets. The shower is excellent with great pressure. The biggest thing for us there is plenty of parking when we are towing a boat or a caravan.
