It's a nice place but it's showing it's age, a fresh paint and changing the decor in the motel units would work wonders.
Our stay at Byron's Resort was for five days. The office was unattended upon arrival. My family and I were waiting 20 minutes before a guest staying there approached us, so we checked ourselves in. There was very little lighting in the unit we stayed at, either broken or needed new light bulbs. House keeping was unsatisfactory. No cleaning done whatsoever, and we only received fresh towels and toilet.paper once throughout our stay. The only thing we did like was the pool right outside our unit. But having said that, we were not happy with the services and decided to check out a day early. My family and I will not be staying here again.
Rang Mon and the man was extremely helpful. Got there just before close & he was again very helpful. Am currently on my 2nd night & I highly recommend staying here. The pool is amazing & the park & tennis courts are great. People here are all very friendly & helpful. 10/10 from me & my children. Definitely coming back
We will not be back. A week after moving out we have not had a response to our request for payment to cover the cost of urgent medical attention. This was due to the concussion I was recovering from worsening after I hit my head on the overhanging cupboard unit with its corner in close proximity to the sink. Two staff said they had also hit their heads on it, but had learned to avoid it. Guests who expect a relaxing time should not have to be watching for hazards. I was also told the splaying chrome dining chair legs that my husband kept tripping on were occasionally bent back into place by staff! The plywood backs of said chairs sloped backwards so we avoided sitting in them anyway. The front door slammed violently shut in the wind while we unpacked the car because the clip for fastening it to the outside wall was broken. On top of all this the armchair was dirty, a bedroom window wouldn’t close and for our last night a large mixed-age group moved in, noisily surrounding our unit and that of another senior couple. If we had known this was to happen, we’d have moved out. I asked for my medical costs to be paid for by Byron’s and left a copy of the receipt, but after more than a week have heard nothing. We’d have been better to stay home and save the cost of the accommodation and becoming more unwell than I already was. The receptionist was sympathetic and wanting to be helpful, but it seems clear the owners will not invest in this rundown place and care little for the wellbeing of their guests.
A fantastic bit of camping area. Very relaxing place to stay. Had motel units, permanent and transient campervan sites and tent areas. Good communal areas, swimming pool and playground for the kids. Just a small walk away to a beautiful beach where the view is legendary. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Certainly will return here.
Bit disappointed the cost of our room was $185 and we had been staying at other motels for similar prices or less and the facilities at Byron didn't meet up to our expectation. It should be called a campground not a resort! Even the kids were disappointed with the playground which had seen better days. The young staff were lovely but the rooms were expensive and out of date... It was cold too and we had no heater. Sorry for the stink review but the next night we stayed somewhere else for $140 and it had a heatpump, free wifi, netflix, clean linen and modern facilities.
Stopped in on Boxing Day and had a great meal. The starters were huge and my maple infused lamb on mash was brilliant. My partner was also very happy with her tomato and olive pasta. The service was great and the staff very friendly.
Excellent beachside facility within walking distance to a beautiful beach. Run by a very friendly young couple, the young blond man was very handsome and helped me by washing my underwear daily. Would return.
Most residents are friendly, facilities are lacking and the place needs some money spent on it to tidy it up.
I would not recommend this motel. While I enjoy giving good feedback, in this case it is not warranted. We stayed at this motel for one night and the service we were not given the room we requested and paid for,and spartan conditions were less than satisfactory in our view. There are many excellent motels, so look for another one.
